Man accused of shooting 2 women in Seattle, Washington
An SUV carrying two women and a man was struck and killed by a bullet fired by a man driving a pickup truck in the early hours of Tuesday, according to Seattle police.
The victims were identified as 23-year-old Laura G. Brown and 24-year of age Brittany Johnson.
A suspect was taken into custody, police said.
The pickup truck was being driven by Anthony J. Gossett Jr., according to the Seattle Police Department.
Police did not provide further details on the victims or the vehicle.
A white pickup truck with a silver and white trailer was involved in a crash near the intersection of Broadway and Second Avenue South in the Seattle suburb of Kenton about 1:30 a.m. local time, police Capt. Chris Pugel said.
Two people in the pickup were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment, Pugel told reporters.
The driver of the truck was identified as 37-year old Robert James S. Johnson.
Seattle police have not identified the woman in the vehicle, according the Seattle Times.
Both Brown and Johnson had been shot in the chest, Pugels said.
A woman in a wheelchair was also struck and transported to Harbor View.
The other victim, 23-month-old Autumn E. Sager, was taken to Seattle General Hospital for treatment.
The truck driver is in custody and is cooperating with investigators, Pugles said.
