How to choose the perfect women’s shoe
WASHINGTON (AP) When Chloe White’s daughter asked if the new shoes were available online, she couldn’t help but notice the company that made them didn’t advertise on its site.
Instead, it displayed its brand name.
White, who runs the popular online shoe company, Flexi, said she decided to change her brand name because she wanted the company to take responsibility for making sure consumers had good choices.
“They had no idea we’re a women’s brand,” White said in a telephone interview.
“We were hoping that if we’re going to be able to help people with shoes that they would be able understand what our purpose is.”
The company is a leader in women’s fashion and is best known for the shoes that its clients wear in professional sporting events and for its products sold at retailers like Wal-Mart.
Its men’s shoes and women’s sports shoes are also popular among athletes.
In fact, White said the company was surprised by how popular its women’s and men’s sports and fashion brands were.
“It was very surprising to me that women’s was the only one,” White told The Associated Press.
“A lot of women’s wear doesn’t have a name that is clearly associated with it,” she said.
White is a member of the company’s board and CEO since March, and the company has about 20,000 members worldwide.
Flexi, which is based in Boston, does not advertise on the internet and the only place its logo appears is in a logo box on its website.
“As a brand, we’ve got to have the best brands that we can be,” White added.
“So it was very hard for us to get on that internet.
We had to come up with a new name and we have to be responsible for that.”
Fleximans women’s sneakers are available online and at retailers.
They are also available at retail stores.
Fellow founder and president Amy Withers said she is “absolutely” proud of the fact that Flexi is one of the most successful brands in womens shoes.
“Flexis brands are a reflection of who we are as a company and a reflection in what we do,” Witherss said.
“It is a great brand and a great company.”
She said that Flexis women’s sport shoes are worn by athletes and by many of its more than 100,000 customers who use the company for shoes.
White said she had tried to change the company name but it was too late.
“There was so much negativity out there and people didn’t understand why we needed to change it,” White recalled.
“I really wanted to keep the name, but the internet just made it impossible to change.”
