ESPNCricInfo: Women’s Lacrosse Shoes
ESPNCricket Australia has confirmed a report by the Australian newspaper The Age that it will sell a limited edition of women’s lacboard shoes to help fund its upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup.
The shoe, made from a special blend of polyester and wool, will go on sale to the public on January 31st for $160 (AUD$205).
“We want to show that women’s cricket is still here to play, and it is about women’s sport and how it is treated in the game, that is why we are making a limited run of these shoes,” said head of marketing and sales for ESPNCrics Australia David Williams.
The shoes will be available in a limited number of pairs at the ESPNCrix in Melbourne.
The announcement comes after Australia secured a spot in the 2019 World Cup on Sunday, as it completed its qualification campaign and clinched a berth in the tournament.
